Swap a Good Book Lately? by Jamie Engle

You have three piles of books: to be read, reading and already read. Rather than get pennies at the used bookstore for your old books, why not send them to someone who wants to read them - and get the books you want to read sent back to you? That's the premise of a new book site, www.PaperbackSwap.com.

Members list books they're willing to send on, and in turn search for used books they want to be sent to them. If someone wants a book you have listed, you'll be sent an email with details. The site provides a book wrapper for mailing; preprinted with the mailing address and the amount of postage that will be needed to mail the book. The wrapper can be printed on a standard printer, using regular printer paper.

Over 11,000 books are currently listed, and can be searched by genre or title. The site works on the honor system. Members can also post reviews and interact on the message boards. Right now, membership is free, although that might change in the future. Check it out at http://www.paperbackswap.com.
