I
found myself agreeing with the feelings that rose out of these poems
that Joseph portrays to us so well. They are realistically sound and
share the pain that so many of us feel today. This quote from The Death of Cupid tells
it all; “And walk down this road much traveled, all too familiar, where
other dejected souls know my name and share my pain.” No matter who you
are or where you are, you will be able to feel the words that rise from
this collection.
My favorite poem in this collection is Mofo’ Risin’. He so delightfully tells everyone that “he is who he is and no other mother f*&^er can change his mind”.
Go, get yourself a copy of Mofo’ Risin’ and enjoy the read. You will walk away knowing that you’re not the only person feeling this way.

November 2002, Joseph was a featured poet in the National Geographic
documentary “Skin”, which aired on PBS. Who is Kathy Erwood? My family comes before any other thing in my life. I enjoy riding dirt bikes and 4-wheelers in the woods with them on the weekends.
Secondly my main interest is WRITING. I love to write and now have two young adult novels written and published. As well as I have a Writers Unleashed message board in the Yahoo district.
If I have any time left I enjoy making crafts and candles.
