SUSPENSE: Elektra

Rate: 97.5

Run Time: 96 minutes

Cast: Jennifer Garner, Goran Visnjic, Kirsten Prout, Will Yun Lee, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Terence Stamp, and Laura Ward
Directed by:
Rob Bowman

Jennifer Garner returns as Elektra, a lethal synthesis of grace and power with the mystical power known as Kimagure; a limited ability to see the future. Elektra’s latest job forces her to make a decision that can take her life in a whole new direction or destroy her.

Following the events of Daredevil, Elektra has been brought back from death by her mentor Stick. But as she fulfills her training, she is booted out. With no where to go she turns to the dark side as a hired assassin.

She has been given an assignment to kill a man and his young daughter, who have secrets of their own. But her morals get questioned after she declines the assignment. She takes it upon herself to protect the girl and her father, but now the villains, who are Japanese ninjas known as “The Hand”, are now after her as well. Will she be able to protect the man and young girl? What about herself? With Stone and Tattoo after them we’ll be able to see some very good scenes.

I love the scene affects of the Tattoo man. He has an eagle tattooed on his chest that comes to life to spy for him. At one time during the movie a wolf also comes alive from his chest.

Jennifer Garner is a wonderful actress and in my opinion, no-one else could have pulled this kind of capability off. Her first big screen appearance was in the superhero movie Daredevil, which is where Elektra came from. I love this actress and from her abilities on the past two movies, I know she will be in more.
