If you are a fan of the TV show SpongeBob, then you will adore this
spongy movie. Even if you’ve never seen a show before, you’ll still get
a kick out of the crude humor that is out to make all ages laugh.
Personally I am 32 years old and I love Patrick for his uncanny
ability to make me chuckle. Not for just for the laughs or the corny
jokes, but because it is good for my child as well. There is no
dreadful violence and there’s definitely no bad language coming from
SpongeBob nor Patrick’s mouth.
SpongeBob is very excited and out to tell everyone that he is the
new manager of Mr. Krabs new restaurant “The Krabby Patty 2”. But at
the revealing of the new manager Mr. Krabs breaks SpongeBob’s heart by
giving the job to Squidward. As the night goes on he humbles himself in
several bowls of ice cream at the Goofy Goobers, becoming very
disorientated and offbeat.
This is where some of the adults will find the drunken humor hilarious.
Patrick and SpongeBob wake up the next day on the floor of the Goofy
Goobers. As he is already late for work, SpongeBob decides to let Mr.
Krabs know just how he feels. When he arrives at the Krabby Patty he
finds that trouble is brewing in Bikini Bottom. King Neptune’s crown
has been stolen. A letter that was left on the empty pillow where
Neptune’s crown once laid indicates that Mr. Krabs is the culprit.
Although SpongeBob has just been passed over for the promotion of his
dreams, he stands by his boss. His plans to reclaim the crown and to
save Mr. Krab’s butt from being burned takes him and Patrick on a
perilous mission to Shell City (dry land).
I should tell you though, that with the side-splitting sing along
songs your child may be a little on the annoying side. Singing “I’m
ready, promotion!” and the new “I’m a goofy goober, you’re a goofy
goober, we’re all goofy goobers” can and will push you over the edge,
so you should just get yourselves prepared before watching the
SpongeBob SquarePants Movie.
